This is definitely one of my favorite dresses in my closet. It has florals and is feminine and flowy, which makes it easy and oh so fun to wear (and it happens to be Free People, my all time fav). I adore the back cut out too. I first saw it when I was visiting SLO and wine tasting with some friends, and a girl walked into the winery wearing it. We immediately asked where she had gotten it, and within the week two of us ordered it!

Recently, it’s been so cloudy and rainy down here in San Diego, which can be hard to handle when you’re used to 75 degrees every day! When we were taking these pictures, the sun came out for just a bit, which was such a gift. I am definitely looking forward to the sunshine and warmth of summer right about now!

Happy Wednesday! The newest spot Ell & I found this weekend was definitely a hit. On the edge of historic Balboa Park in SD lies a little desert garden, filled with hundreds of different succulents and cacti. It was quite the find for this cactus lover. These pants felt very festival/desert inspired too, so it was the perfect place to wear them. It’s fun to throw on some prints once in awhile!

Weekend mornings are my favorite in San Diego. I love waking up, grabbing coffee, and strolling around a new part of town. What makes the mornings even better is when you have an easy, comfortable outfit to throw on that still looks put together. I absolutely adore this t-shirt dress because it is so soft and light. It feels effortless, and I love the little leather detailing on the pocket and neckline. Loving this new piece. What’s your favorite go-to on the weekend?

I love rompers. Love love love them. They are so easy and fun to wear, because you get all the glam of wearing a dress, but the ease of wearing shorts. I’m so happy my collection keeps growing!

This particular gem happened to come from… yes, you guessed it… Abercrombie & Fitch. I was so excited to find a printed one with amazing sleeves. It’s perfect for summer! They have it in black too, which is just as adorable. I may not have been at Coachella this year (definitely going next time) but throwing on a romper and flower crown at least put me in the festival spirit.

And speaking of flower crowns… I’m giving a sunflower one away this week! This cheerful crown is a Tamera Beardsley Design original, and is so fun to wear for spring and summer. You can bet I’ll be wearing mine all the time!

Last week, I had the urge to do some more hair chopping. For those that knew me pre-January, I originally had hair that somehow managed to grow past my waist. The new year brought a new me, and I cut it all off before my 23rd birthday. Ever since I cut it, I kept feeling like I wanted to go even shorter. Who knew that someone who hadn’t had a hair cut in over a year would want to cut it twice in a matter of months?

So I went back to the lovely Gold & Braid salon where my fav hairstylist Sydnee works (who happens to be the sister-in-law of my dear friend Hannah). She did an incredible job as per usual, and I am just loving this shorter version of my lob.

Besides giving me a great new cut, Sydnee also let me in on her latest style secret… I had asked her where she had gotten her cute white top she was wearing, and she told me that Abercrombie & Fitch had made it. Yes, I know what you are thinking. I, too, thought that A&F was better left behind in middle school. But they have completely redesigned their brand, and are super festival/Free People/ Urban Outfitters now! Who would have thought?! I got this super cool shawl and top there, as well as a few more pieces which you will probably be seeing soon, including an amazing pair of printed pants. And the best part? It’s actually affordable! They have brought their prices wayy down, and even still have entire store-wide sales from time to time. I might have found my new favorite  brand. I am still quite in shock, too.

So thanks, Sydnee, for the rad haircut AND style secret.
